RYA Day Skipper
Shore Based Course Clevedon Sailing Club offers a fast-track theory course. The ‘Day Skipper’ shore-based course is aimed at sailors who wish to acquire navigation and seamanship qualifications which will complement the RYA’s practical sailing schemes. Successful completion of five days of classroom sessions and the relevant exams will lead to the official RYA ‘Day Skipper’ shore-based qualification. No previous qualification is required. This is an either all-day classroom course running for five days or can be run over a corresponding number of evenings. The course will be held at Clevedon Sailing Club and students will be entitled to use the social and sailing facilities within the Club Rules. A number of vacancies are available for this special intensive course. Successful candidates will be eligible to apply for Coastal Skipper Shore-based courses.
