Cadets

The club has an active and expanding cadet section committed to encouraging children to learn to sail and enjoy all watersports. The cadets meet most Fridays throughout the year, with the focus on dinghy sailing using the clubs own boats during the summer season. The highlight of the year is the cadet week, with new cadets being taught the basics of boatcraft, rigging and sailing while those who are more experienced are encouraged to improve their sailing skills.

Activities continue through the winter off period including family events such as paper boat racing, and a variety of talks by quest speakers with continuing emphasise on water sports.
